Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Secret Clearance after hire should it become necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this position.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionallyaccredited college or university with major work in planning engineering architecture public administration business administration or related field of study.

EMPLOYMENT SUITABILITY:
To determine the selectees employment suitability for the position of Director of Rapid Transit the Department of Human Resources will review criminal convictions dismissals from employment and separations from military service under other than honorable conditions.
FINGERPRINTING REQUIREMENT: This position will have access to the Joint Traffic Management Center (JTMC). Any employee with unescorted access to secured areas and equipment within the JTMC requires a fingerprintbased criminal history record check. Therefore the selectee will be required to be fingerprinted as part of their employment suitability review. The Department of Human Resources will review fingerprintbased state and national criminal history record information from the Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The incumbent must also be willing and able to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Secret Clearance after hire should it become necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this position.
