Job Description
Job Summary:
LK Jordan is hiring an experienced Field Service Technician to provide preventive and corrective maintenance on centrifugal and reciprocating compressors. This role involves troubleshooting repair and installation of mechanical components while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform field maintenance troubleshooting installation and removal of compressors.
- Disassemble repair and reassemble compressor components ensuring proper alignment and tolerances.
- Conduct inspections including checking bearing clearances and rotor conditions.
- Remove clean and reinstall compressor rotors.
- Replace and install gearboxes.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings for repairs and installations.
- Operate machine tools (lathes mills saws etc. as needed.
- Maintain accurate records logs and reports for supervisors.
- Ensure workplace safety by adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry best practices through training technical publications and assessments.
- May require excessive travel overtime and weekend work.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED with 35 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. push/pull 50 lbs. and perform strenuous activity for extended periods.
- Comfortable working at heights in extreme temperatures and walking on highelevation grating.
- Proficiency with hand tools machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal.
- Valid U.S. drivers license with the ability to travel as needed.
- Must pass a preemployment drug screening.
