Exploration Drill Assistant
Were seeking Drill Assistants with a minimum of 2 years of experience on exploration projects coupled with at least 2 years of handson experience working at remote sites and helicopter supported drilling operations .If you thrive in dynamic environments and are eager to contribute to our teams success then this opportunity is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously prepare and supply the driller with tooling and materials necessary to maintain the drilling operations.
- Handle drill rods and casing core tubes and core samples.
- Maintain and organize appropriate inventory levels of necessary materials supplies and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.
- Assist the Driller client and other team members where required.
- Regular and repetitive lifts of 5090 lbs.
Professional Experience / Qualifications
- Must have 2 or more years experience in the drilling industry.
- Must have proven experience in helicopter supported operations.
- Must have a class 5 or 7(N) Drivers License.
- Have the mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment.
- Complete and pass a preemployment drug & alcohol test.
- Complete and pass project specific safety courses.
- Have experience working in the field in remote and/or varied weather conditions for extended periods of time.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Compensation
$25 $28 per hour plus meter bonus.
