Position Description: CAA Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant Pediatrics Childrens of Wisconsin Hospital / Medical College of Wisconsin TheMedical College of WisconsinandChildrens of Wisconsin Hospitalare seeking aCertified Anesthesiologist Assistant(CAA)to join itsPediatric Anesthesiology Division. At Childrens of Wisconsin the practice of anesthesiology encompasses a medically directed team approach involving faculty anesthesiologists anesthesiology fellows residents and advanced practice certified nurse anesthetists and CAAs. The successful candidate must possess the ability to provide high quality anesthesia care to a complex pediatric patient population working directly under the supervision of our Pediatric Anesthesiologists and as part of a team of highly trained and dedicated team of CAAs and CRNAs. Position Specifications: Position Highlights * Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center **Highly competitive SignOn** Education In addition to our Physician resident and fellow training programs we offer a Master of Science in Anesthesia program one of just 12 in the nation. We launched our program in 2016 recognizing a growing need for skilled anesthetists in Wisconsin and throughout the country. The program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. Research Research in the Department is internationally recognized for its contributions to calcium channel biophysics vascular reactivity myocardial protection and experimental neurosciences with a focus on traumatic brain injury and the physiology and pharmacology of pain modulation. Our research is supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health National Science Foundation Department of Defense Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin the VA American Heart Association and the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research among others. Position Requirements: Preferred Experience: Previous CAA/CRNA experience in Adult Anesthesiology or Adult Health Care experience a plus! Minimum Education: CAA: Masters of Science in Anesthesiology CRNA: Masters Degree or higher in Nursing Certification: Candidates can be either a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant or Certified Nurse Anesthetists *board eligible for certification are also encouraged to apply Licensure: Wisconsin licensure or eligible AHA BCLS and/or ACLS Organizational Structure Department: Anesthesiology Division: Pediatric Anesthesiology Reports to (Title):Chief CAA/CRNA Program Childrens Wisconsin Direct Reports (Titles): None Collaborates with (Titles): Division Chief Faculty and Anesthesiology Team
