Auto Group South is seeking a detailoriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of accounting principles and a strong ability to multitask.
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming invoices verifying accuracy and coding them appropriately
- Prepare and process vendor payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Perform daytoday financial transactions including verifying classifying computing posting and recording accounts receivables data
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Prepare bills invoices and bank deposits
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Assist with monthend close procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- General knowledge of accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience in accounts payable is a plus but not required
