Job Description
O2E Brands Is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team! As part of the finance department you will be responsible for the financial reporting of some of our fastest growing brands 1800GOTJUNK WOW 1 DAY PAINTING and Shack Shine). You will work alongside a fun and supportive team in a dynamic role where no two days are the same!
HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT
Vancouverbased team members work inoffice every other week (TuesThurs). Core attendance is required from 9 AM 3 PM on these days to support business priorities.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- The Senior Accountant will fulfill a diverse role with many responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
- Maintain working paper schedules and complete monthend procedures in an accurate and timely manner
- Review and approve bank reconciliations general journal entries and validating with supporting documents prepared by Accountants
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for the monthend meeting with Corporate Controller FP&A and CFO
- Assist with preparation of yearend audit requests
- Create the year end financial statements including updating financial notes and schedules.
- Supervise and provide training to Accountants on fullcycle accounting tasks as needed
- Review revenue calculations on a semimonthly basis prior to processing
- Support team with adhoc requests
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Designated CPA (or close to completion)
- 35 years of accounting experience
- Solid understanding of ASPE and/or US GAAP
- Detailoriented
- Adaptable and ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks independently and meet strict deadlines
- Public practice experience is preferred
- Proficiency in Netsuite is an asset
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary $67000 $80000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education experience and internal parity).
