As anApplication Engineer Motorsport (all genders) you bring highperformance battery technology to the fastpaced world of racing. You are the crucial link between cuttingedge engineering and the demands of toptier motorsport ensuring that battery systems deliver peak performance when it matters most. From concept to checkered flag you drive innovation collaborate with worldclass teams and push the limits of whats possible in highperformance energy solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical liaison for motorsport customers guiding battery system development from concept through SOP.
- Lead technical discussions and provide engineering support tailored to highperformance motorsport applications ensuring seamless communication between internal teams and customers.
- Define and refine battery system concepts in collaboration with global engineering teams ensuring optimal performance reliability and weight efficiency.
- Oversee the integration of battery cells validation mechanical design and thermal management into motorsport applications.
- Support Motorsport and Racing Programs by developing testing and optimizing battery systems for extreme performance conditions.
- Plan and supervise battery system validation and testing analyzing performance data to ensure compliance with motorsport and automotive standards.
- Track development progress ensuring milestones and technical objectives are met within motorsports fastpaced development cycles.
- Assist in business development efforts by contributing technical expertise to new project acquisitions and proposals particularly in motorsportrelated projects.
Education & Experience:
- Degree in electrochemical engineering industrial engineering electrical engineering mechanical engineering or a related technical field
- 3 years of experience in automotive engineering (motorsport experience is a strong plus).
- Expertise in battery systems hybrid powertrains or HEV technology is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with battery validation mechanical design thermal management and system integration in highperformance environments.
- Strong problemsolving skills and experience leading technical investigations in fastpaced highpressure environments.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Deep understanding of battery technology and its application in motorsport and highperformance vehicles.
- Knowledge of program management quality assurance and manufacturing operations in automotive or motorsport settings.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into customerfocused solutions and support business development initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage technical requirements in fastmoving motorsport projects.
- Creative adaptable and selfdriven capable of taking full ownership of projects with minimal oversight.
- Comfortable working in a highpressure performancedriven environment with tight development cycles.
- Excellent English language skills German is a plus.
