About the role:
Samsara is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to be part of our Routing Ops team. The Routing Ops team at Samsara is developing the worlds best products for supporting drivers and empowering dispatchers to orchestrate large fleets of light and heavy vehicles. This includes route formulation and optimization live and dispatch driver navigation and task automation and analytics for continuous operational improvement.
As an Engineering Manager at Samsara you will:

In this role you will:
- Participate with senior leadership and crossfunctional peers to develop a longterm roadmap and strategy for Samsaras Routing Ops team.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to drive technical strategy.
- Set quarterly goals and balance product/engineering priorities for maximum impact
- Drive planning and on the roadmap delivering features and enhancements to delight customers
- Set a high standard for the reliability of your components

Minimum requirements for the role:
- 8 years of relevant software engineering work experience
- 3 years of handson technical management experience
- Experience building scalable missioncritical SaaS applications
- Experience operating maintaining and improving upon largescale application services
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (including listening speaking and writing) and ability to work well in a diverse teamfocused environment
- Strong track record of delivering products and features that customers love
- Proven record of attracting toptalent and coaching the team
An ideal candidate also has:
- B.S. in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Proven track record for innovation and delivering value to customers (both internal and external).
- Demonstrated ability to build crossfunctional consensus and drive crossteam collaboration
