Menzies is looking for a researcher to lead qualitative research activities and codesign culturally safe communication strategies with the Communicate Study Partnership. If this sounds like you join our team to help make a difference.
The Role:
The successful candidate for this role will lead research activities and support the codesign of culturally safe communication strategies to improve healthcare experiences for First Nations peoples.
Working with the Communicate Study Partnership the researcher will engage with NT health services First Nations language interpreters patients and other key stakeholders to conduct participatory research develop and evaluate communication interventions and mentor research assistants. This work contributes to the broader vision of the study that works to ensure more First Nations peoples receive culturally safe healthcare in hospitals across the Northern Territory.
About you:
As a motivated and collaborative researcher you will bring a strong track record in qualitative or mixedmethods research and experience working respectfully with First Nations communities and organisations.
You will have demonstrated success in engaging with diverse stakeholders and leading research activities that contribute to meaningful improvements in healthcare communication and practice.
A PhD or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field such as health communication public health Indigenous studies medical anthropology or social sciences or an equivalent combination of tertiary qualifications and research experience.
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication with proven ability to engage respectfully and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong skills in knowledge translation including writing for academic and nonacademic audiences and experience in training mentoring and supervising others.

The benefits:
Base Salary $ 109827$128734 per annum (Total remuneration package including superannuation $135471 $ 157024 per annum).
Generous leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leave.
Salary packaging up to $15900 per annum and $2650 meal and entertainment card tax free.
