As a Cloud Automation Engineer you will join theThe Cloud Operations team. You will be working within a fastpaced and collaborative environment partner with development teams and other technology personnel to provide agile cost effective and secure cloud strategies and environments through automation tooling policy and governance. Strong development engineering and prior experiences with cloud services are required.
Your tasks will include:
- Engineering and maintaining highly available secure and costeffective tools for managing and provisioning cloud accounts and users
- Developing and operating tooling for cloud networking and security solutions
- Partnering closely with the security team to ensure vulnerabilities are identified and remediated
- Collaborating with technology teams to help maximizing use of cloud offered managed services
- Optimizing the use of cloud resources and services to maximize ROI and control costs
- Ensuring resiliency and high availability for thecustomers and participating in an OnCall rotation to support the availability demands of services
- Engineering technical solutions to prevent or reduce the frequency of failures
- Collaborating with various technology teams to ensure the designs of new systems which will have a high rate of reliability and dependability
To be a good fit for the Cloud Automation Engineer role you will have:
- Previousexperience in Python or Go
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure
- Experience with Docker cloud orchestration (AWS CloudFormation or HashiCorp Terraform) build management (CodeBuild Jenkins or similar)
- Experience with best practices for developing and operating in the cloud and engineering IAM solutions
- Linux/Unix administration experience specifically Ubuntu CentOS or Redhat in a cloud environment
- Experience with change management and establishing proper development testing and staging environments
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including: VPCs Subnets NAT ACLs Gateways Interfaces etc.
- Experience with Agile and iterative delivery
- Strong documentation and diagraming skills
- Ability to communicate complex processes and designs
- Experience with web application security principles
