Job Description
The role
We are seeking a motivated and responsible School Bus Driver to join our team at Lighthouse Christian College Keysborough. As a School Bus Driver you will be responsible for safely transporting our students to and from school each day ensuring their wellbeing and creating a positive environment on the bus. This is a casual position based in Keysborough Victoria.
Key responsibilities
- Safely operating the school bus and ensuring all passengers are properly secured
- Maintaining the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the school bus
- Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Monitoring student behavior and addressing any issues or concerns
- Providing excellent customer service to students and parents
- Assisting with loading and unloading of students and their belongings
- Reporting any incidents or concerns to the Property Manager
What were looking for
- A valid heavy vehicle drivers license with a proven safe driving record
- Experience driving buses or other large vehicles preferably in a school or educational setting
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain calm and professional demeanor when dealing with students
- Reliable and punctual with a flexible schedule to accommodate school hours
- Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children
- First aid training or willingness to obtain it
- A Working with Children Check
