Job Description
Responsibilities
Conducts sampling of various drums equipment tanks soil or waste piles generated from testing and maintenance processes
Manages 90day accumulation points to include the proper storage labeling and inspection to include written records documentation requirements
Coordinates the collection of aerosol cans and calibration gas cylinders for venting puncturing and disposal
Assists generators with waste turn in procedures to include completion of forms and data entry requirements
Package label and handle hazardous waste/material
Prepares shipping papers/records and manifests in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Performs other related duties as required
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Three 3 years of relevant experience working in an industrial hazardous waste disposal operation
Possess the OSHA HAZWOPER certification with the 40hour training or the ability to complete upon hire/promotion
Possess a valid state drivers license
Computer skills with proficiency in MS office programs
Desired Qualification:
Bachelors degree in environmental science or related discipline
