Job Description Summary

The V&A Regional Head leads the Value & Access team enabling the Regional and Country heads to optimize their P&Ls supporting strategy in Top 4 markets and driving talent development.

This role is responsible for:
oRepresenting Access at the European Leadership Team
oCocreate International Access strategies as a member of the Value and Access Council and Access Strategy Leadership Team
oLeading the Regional Pricing committee to provide evidencebased recommendations on country business cases to Regional President in collaboration with International Pricing team.
oSupport top 4 countries to adapt and implement their Access and Pricing strategy
oDrive excellence and best practices across countries
oAnticipating major reimbursement milestones within the region and mobilizing best practice access mitigation strategies
oDevelop Access talent and drive capability excellence
oPromote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the access community

The role demands an enterprise mindset strong business acumen and superior collaboration skills to operate seamless exchanges with International markets and aboveCountry stakeholders as well as activation of International stakeholders and resources to secure deliver adhoc solutions driving Regional and Country performance.

This role is expected to collaborate and coordinate prioritized actions across functions

This role plays a critical role to ensure the inmarket price management in relevant markets is effectively enabled and governed. The position has a broad geographical scope covering a diverse set of countries and requires handson oversight to drive business success in these Regions. This position is pivotal in shaping the Pricing landscape and ensuring sustainable value maintenance of products in the Region.



Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

The V&A Regional Head is accountable for ensuring value maintenance in Top 4 markets.

  • Provide accurate and timely market analysis to inform strategic decisions on International level
  • Review and provide input on critical Regionspecific gaps to maximize probability of success in shaping Clinical Development plans
  • Ensure excellence in early stakeholder engagement to enhance collaboration and cocreation and affirm Novartis as a trusted access partner
  • Monitor and govern price setting enacting adjustments as needed. Guide and support Top 4 markets
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among the crossfunctional set stakeholders required to for inmarket Pricing
  • Develop and nurture a highfunctioning V&A Regional team
  • Ensure International deliverables are effectively adapted and implemented

Essential requirements:

  • Bachelors / Masters in HEOR Economics Statistics or related fields
  • 10 years relevant experience acquired at pharmaceutical companies HTA physician associations or health care consultancy companies or equivalent experience
  • Direct leadership experiences and proven P&L ownership in an abovecountry environment achieving enhanced business performance
  • Proven experiences of working with government health regulators payers (including HTA agencies) and politicians payer evidence and HEOR
  • Demonstrated success in securing and optimizing pricing and reimbursement
  • Deep expertise across various market archetypes for creating broader impact with the required functional leadership for countries. Experiences working in at least one different market archetype outside of home Country
  • Proven experiences of cocreating implementation of innovative access solutions
  • Excellent writing communication and interpersonal skills. Strong solutionorientation and business acumen
