Head of Business Development Wholesale

The Head of Business Expansion for Wholesale supports the segment leader and digital enablement team with the strategic of AXA XL Americas most strategic complex and crossfunctional initiatives. This role is responsible to drive the segments acceleration goals and to define and execute key workstreams to unlock significant and profitable growth.

What will your essential responsibilities include

  • Driving the accountability development implementation and success of the strategy and segments growth objectives by delivering on all four of our strategic drivers: solutions that matter most valued beyond the policy data that deepens relationships and focused fit & fast
  • Identifying new business opportunities through market research and analysis in collaboration with the segment leaders and CUOs. Evaluate and pursue potential partnerships new product development and collaborations internally and externally.
  • Build and manage robust relationships with the Underwriting leaders and community.
  • Partner with business leaders and team members to facilitate change management to drive employee engagement by creating a compelling transformation story and developing plans to minimize disruption and encourage new process and technology adoption.
  • Partner with the Digital Leads and Product Owners on segment specific initiatives to ensure alignment to the business needs and goals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the organization encouraging the adoption of new technologies processes and business models to drive growth and efficiency
  • Tracking and reporting key business development metrics and KPIs to measure success and inform future strategies

This role reports to the Chief Growth Officer Americas and the Head of Wholesale Americas.

Were looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • Extensive experience in driving cross functional programs in the insurance P&C industry and international environment coupled with other relevant experience in internal/external consulting roles.
  • Experience in transformation and large program methodologies (i.e. agile waterfall etc. for delivery of programs and management of communities of practices.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and ability to ensure that product and underwriting practices adhere to relevant laws and standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment while having exemplary behaviors that demonstrate commitment to our corporate values and behaviors including a demonstrated commitment to start with the client own it solve it together and actually make it better.
  • Exceptional Leadership and management skills to effectively guide and motivate teams. Ability to analyze complex data trends and performance metrics to make informed decisions and drive operational excellence.
  • A history of leading diverse teams creating excellent engagement and building high performance for self and others to reach new heights in pursuit of common goals

The U.S. pay range for this position is USD 00. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individuals skills experience and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues pay.
