Job Description

Generalwebers is seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Remote Budget Analyst to play a crucial role in our financial planning and analysis processes. As a key member of our finance team you will be responsible for developing analyzing and maintaining budgets across various departments and projects. This remote position requires a strong understanding of financial principles excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities:

Budget Development and Management:

Collaborate with department heads and project managers to develop annual budgets and forecasts that align with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.

Build and maintain complex budget models ensuring accuracy and flexibility to accommodate changing business needs.

Monitor budget performance against actual results identifying variances and providing insightful explanations.

Facilitate the budget review process ensuring timely submission and adherence to established timelines.

Implement and maintain budget control procedures to ensure responsible spending across the organization.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Conduct indepth financial analysis to identify trends opportunities and potential risks.

Prepare regular and adhoc budget reports including variance analysis forecasting updates and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Present financial data in a clear and concise manner to management providing actionable insights to support decisionmaking.

Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reporting tools to enhance visibility into budget performance.

Analyze financial data to support strategic planning resource allocation and investment decisions.

Collaboration and Communication:

Partner effectively with crossfunctional teams providing financial guidance and support.

Communicate budget guidelines processes and deadlines clearly and professionally.

Respond to budgetrelated inquiries from stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.

Participate in meetings and presentations to discuss budget performance and financial outlook.

Process Improvement and Compliance:

Identify opportunities to streamline budget processes and improve efficiency.

Assist in the development and documentation of budget policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls.

Stay updated on best practices in budgeting and financial analysis.

Adhoc Projects:

Participate in various adhoc financial projects and analyses as required by the Finance leadership.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field.

Minimum of 35 years of progressive experience in budget analysis financial planning and forecasting.

Proven ability to develop and maintain complex budget models using spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel Google Sheets). Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables advanced formulas data validation macros) are highly preferred.

Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.

Excellent analytical problemsolving and criticalthinking skills with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings effectively to both financial and nonfinancial audiences.

Proficiency in financial reporting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (experience with mention specific ERP system if applicable e.g. NetSuite SAP Oracle is a plus).

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Selfmotivated proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a remote team environment.

Requirements:

Must possess a valid work permit to work in the United States.

Must reside within the United States.

Reliable highspeed internet access and a dedicated home office setup conducive to productive remote work.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g. CFA CMA).

Experience in mention Generalwebers Industry or related industries.

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).

Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques.
