We are seeking a talented individual to join our Guy Carpenter Analytics (GCA) team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in our Warsaw office.

The Actuarial Analyst is mainly responsible for providing analytical and actuarial support as a member of Guy Carpenter Analytics (GCA) to clients and brokers in the Emerging Markets region. The main focus of the role is to deliver high quality analytical support for our clients and prospects to add value to Guy Carpenter brokerage services. Secondarily the focus will be on promoting Guy Carpenter tools and standalone analytical services.

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Actuarial Analyst

We will count on you to:

  • Prepare actuarial analysis regarding design pricing and risk transfer of reinsurance programmes
  • Analyse the impact of reinsurance structure on capital needs with a focus on Solvency II
  • Support brokers by providing additional scenario analysis and other analytical input
  • Present and discuss findings and analysis to clients and other community members
  • Develop and maintain internal actuarial applications identifying potential for improvement of the existing applications
  • Establish relationships within Guy Carpenter company and with industry peers
  • Adhere to GCA quality assurance procedures and professional standards

What you need to have:

  • Masters degree in mathematics statistics physics quantitative methods or other relevant discipline
  • Good command of English both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of nonlife actuarial techniques
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Advanced general computer literacy
  • Good communication skills
  • Mature and professional approach toward given tasks and responsibilities
