The Department of Economic Security Division of Employment and Rehabilitation Services (DERS) strengthens Arizona communities by bridging and minimizing gaps to employment and independence.

DES is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Program Supervisor with the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA). This position is responsible for direct supervision to Vocational Rehabilitation staff including hiring training coaching evaluating and performing disciplinary action when necessary. The position is responsible for monitoring case management practices to ensure compliance with RSA policy and procedure; reviewing and approving Vocational Rehabilitation client cases and conducting quality assurance reviews; representing Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) in the community and on boards committees and work groups; facilitating unit team meetings and case staffings and assigning workloads.

Travel will be required for client meetings outreach/events and office coverage.

Travel will be required for State business. If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid classappropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on State business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on State business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code A.A.C. R210207.11.

This position may be available for remote work within Arizona (minimum of 2 days per week in the office/hoteling).

All work including remote work should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for personnel functions including hiring staffing coaching mentoring evaluating and training.
Monitor case management practices to ensure compliance with RSA policy and procedure; review and approve client cases.
Facilitate regular team meetings discussions and case staffing; responsible for assigning workloads and duties.
Complete unit reports; Analyze and interpret case management and performance reports and determine course of action.
Represent RSA in community partnership/stakeholder meetings forums boards committees and workgroups.
Participate in public relations community outreach and respond to public and program inquiries.
Respond to and research client inquiries and appeals.
Review cases for quality assurance through formal and informal case reviews.

Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling; plus one year experience paid or unpaid working with individuals with disabilities or Masters degree in a related field; plus one year experience paid or unpaid working with individuals with disabilities.
One year of supervisory or management experience.
Candidates for this position shall be subject to a search of both the Child Protective Services Central Registry pursuant to A.R.S. 8804 and the Adult Protective Services Registry pursuant to A.R.S. 46459.
Candidate shall have or meet the requirements to obtain prior to their first day of employment a valid Level One Arizona fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 411758.07 in order to work with children and vulnerable adults.
Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the abovementioned process and the agencys ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (EVerify).
