Job Description
The Next Generation Mobilizer will work with the Director of Next Generation Missions to provide leadership direction and strategy to mobilize North American high school student ministries college students and young adults on NEXT Teams (Next Gen ShortTerm Mission Teams) (STMTs). This position will work closely with the Director of Next Gen Mobilization to advance ministry partnerships. This position is responsible for playing their part in achieving the bigger mission of EastWest and ensuring that all position duties and responsibilities are clearly aligned with EastWest Vision Mission Values Statement of Faith and Biblical principles as well as the Mobilization Strategies supporting the mission. They will also personally mobilize and lead effective NEXT Teams STMTs and provide posttrip missional training (APIOM) discipleship and coaching for students to continue on mission at home while also inviting them to be APIOM (Active Participant in our Mission) through EastWest. This position is responsible for playing their part to achieve the bigger mission of EastWest and for ensuring that all position duties and responsibilities are clearly aligned with EastWest Vision Mission Values Statement of Faith and Biblical principles.
This is a fully supportraised position.
A day in the life of the Next Gen Mobilizer
Mobilize high school and college students for participation on a NEXT Team and as participants in ministry with EastWest
Lead and/or coordinate 46 NEXT Teams a year to the field (At least two personally mobilized)
Assist Director of Next Generation Missions in projects and planning as requested
Attend meetings retreats and conferences as requested
Develop and Maintain a network of personal support
Lead attend and/or contribute to EastWest sponsored spiritual formation activities and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- A baptized believer of Jesus Christ
- High commitment to and practices regular prayer and time in the Word
- Faithful member of a local church
- Experienced in sharing his/her faith with a clear concise gospel message
- Experienced in effectively discipling new followers of Jesus preferred
- BA degree preferred
- Experienced in crosscultural ministry preferred
