You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Potomac School Athletic Department is looking to hire qualified assistant coaches across all T&F event areas for our track & field and cross country programs for the 202526 school year. These are parttime seasonal positions paid through a stipend and are not benefit eligible. The person in this role will be working with student athletes in an environment where academic expectations are high.

The 23 different interscholastic programs of 38 teams are formed according to ability and most programs include varsity and junior varsity squads. Varsity teams strive to compete at the highest levels while emphasizing sportsmanship and teamwork. At the junior varsity level success in competition is encouraged while skill building and participation are the primary goals.
Our Girls teams compete in the 15member Independent School League (ISL).
Our Boys teams compete in the 7member Mid Atlantic Conference (MAC).
Key Responsibilities:
Guide the personal development of each studentathlete on the roster.
Organize communicate and execute daily practice plans.
Prepare and condition athletes.
Attend and coach at competitions
Assist with meet preparation and management for home meets
Coordinate with Athletics to create social media content
Perform other duties as assigned.
Assist with transportation and driving students to meets as needed
Qualifications:
College degree preferred
Coaching and competitive experience preferred
Willingness to attend professional development workshops.
