Job Description
Job Title: Manual Testing Engineer
Location: Kochi
Experience: 5 8 years
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Manual Tester or Quality Assurance Tester.
- Strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g. JIRA TestRail Bugzilla).
- Familiarity with various testing techniques (e.g. functional regression integration and usability testing).
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with SQL and database testing.
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g. Postman SoapUI).
- Knowledge of basic automation testing concepts is a plus.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning and Design:
- Review and analyze system specifications requirements and design documents.
- Develop document and execute detailed test plans test cases and test scripts based on project requirements.
- Identify and document test conditions scenarios and expected results.
- Test :
- Perform thorough manual testing on web mobile and desktop applications including functional regression integration system and usability testing.
- Identify report and track defects using bug tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure that defects are understood prioritized and resolved.
- Quality Assurance:
- Verify that the software meets the functional performance and usability requirements.
- Ensure that testing activities comply with established testing processes standards and guidelines.
- Participate in test case reviews requirement reviews and other QA activities.
