We have an exciting opportunity for a position of Principle Electrical Test Engineer located onsite in Cedar Rapids IA. This position is part of the Whole Life Engineering project team focused on the development integration validation and maintenance of test hardware/software for advanced military communications and displays. The selected candidate will develop software applications libraries and instrument drivers; as well as developing hardware solutions that include both highend CommercialOffTheShelf (COTS) test equipment and inhouse test fixtures.
The selected candidate will contribute to one or more multidiscipline engineering teams including representation from our global design operations service and program management offices. Typical work involves the development of both engineering and production test equipment and systems. As such the candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development for Collins Aerospace test products. They will be expected to act either as a part of their team or independently to ideate develop and release highquality test solutions to our production floors across the world.
This position is 100 on site in Cedar Rapids IA.
What YOU Will Do:
Lead Test Engineer for developing and maintaining ATE (Automated Test Equipment) test software and hardware for a factory/production environment.
Independently work with Design Engineering and other SMEs to define and develop test architectures test software test methods & requirements.
Champion high quality solutions that meet cost and schedule targets.
Troubleshoot software and hardware as part of an integrated Test Engineering team.
Communicate effectively with global engineering operations service and program leadership.
Experience with software applications usingC C C# NI LabVIEW NI TestStand or other test software programming languages.
Ability to interface ATE test software with laboratory and production tests instrumentation such as but not limited to oscilloscopes digital multimeters signal generators signal analyzers and/or direct current power supplies.
Qualifications We Require:
Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations; and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
Experience with developing and maintaining ATE (Automated Test Equipment) test hardware and software for a factory/production environment.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with ATE test software requirements design implementation integration validation and verification process events.
Experience with RF technologies and highspeed digital communications.
Experience with lifecycle design and support methodologies including requirements generation design to cost factory integration and validation and postrelease support.
Experience with software applications using C# Python NI LabVIEW NI TestStand or other test software programming languages.
