Responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient assessments including medical history current symptoms and vital signs.
- Utilize clinical judgment to prioritize patient needs based on urgency and severity of conditions.
- Provide patient education on health management and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to determine appropriate care plans.
- Assist in coordinating patient appointments and followups.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone and in person offering guidance and support.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care processes.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols within the clinic.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nurse
High school diploma required if work is performed in a complex CLIA lab.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa for Registered Nurse.
