Overview

Clinical Field Educator RN Home Health

Join our client as a clinical field educator where you will play a vital role in training and supporting new field clinicians. This position combines hands-on training with the opportunity to enhance patient care and clinician efficiency in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

Train new field clinicians during the 8-week orientation
Assess new field clinicians skills and knowledge
Facilitate performance-based learning pathways
Coach field clinicians in the field and small meetings
Customize learning paths and create remediation plans
Document orientation progression and performance concerns
Manage preceptor assignments and provide direction
Conduct orientation calls and communicate readiness plans
Evaluate and document readiness for patient visits
Conduct hands-on clinical skill checks and evaluations
Identify first-year field clinicians needing support
Develop and document remediation plans

Schedule and shift details

Monday through Friday with potential evening and weekend needs
In-person training during week 1
Weeks 2 through 8 are remote with in-field training as needed

Travel

Travel is typically around 1 to 1.5 hours within the Grand Rapids Michigan area

Required qualifications

Minimum 1 year of home health experience
Associate degree or higher
Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan
Valid regular drivers license
Valid certification in one of the following:
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
- American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)

Preferred qualifications

Previous experience applying to or working for this healthcare system within the last 6 months
RN license number for name clear

Compensation

Full-time
