Principal Linux System Administrator (NOC 24x7 Springfield VA must have current TS/SCI CI Poly clearance!

This position will work a Panama Schedule for 24/7 shift coverage 2 days on 2 days off 3 days on 2 days off 2 days on 3 days off each team works the same shift (day) for 28 days then switches to the other shift (night) for the next 28 days.

What You Will Do:

• You will be supporting a Raytheon program in a classified environment as a Principal Linux System Administrator. This Network Operations Centre (NOC) position is responsible for monitoring the Infrastructure Service Provider (ISP) hosting equipment and services consisting of computers (server) networks storage and backup & archive all in a fastpaced environment.
• Tasks include monitoring system dashboards for the status of services creating Incidents in the Incident Management system assigning Incidents to the appropriate Tier2/Tier3 assignment groups assisting with troubleshooting services to restore Full Mission Capability and/or coordinating with other service.
• Providers when incidents span system the role entails investigating and rectifying procedural discrepancies as well as identifying areas of process improvement.
• This position will work a Panama Schedule for 24/7 shift coverage 2 days on 2 days off 3 days on 2 days off 2 days on 3 days off each team works the same shift (day) for 28 days then switches to the other shift (night) for the next 28 days
• This position must have experience with Ticketing Systems (ServiceNow HelpNow Remedy JIRA etc.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a bachelors degree and a minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with poly security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• (on start date) Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security CE CCNA Security GICSP GSEC SSCP CySA CND
• Experience in Linux

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with virtual / cloud computing technologies such as Citrix VMware Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience with Windows
• Experience with storage products from Oracle EMC Dell Isilon NetApp DDN
• Experience in Networking

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
