Communications Specialist

The Communications Specialist will play a pivotal role in shaping our communications strategy bringing exceptional writing skills effective storytelling and a collaborative mindset to a dynamic team. Youll have the opportunity to take on exciting projects that make a real impact. The team is going to elevate current communications efforts and the Communications Specialist as a key driver of our awareness strategy. This position is integral to our marketing team contributing to SEONs mission to lead the fraudfighting space. Reporting directly to Communications Director this role offers the chance to influence how we connect with our audience and expand our reach.

This role is based in Austin with a hybrid schedule coming into the office a few days a week.

Please note that during the holiday period we will be slower to respond to applications and you may not hear from us till the new year.

What Youll Do:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments and help develop messaging and content for internal and external audiences
  • Work with PR agencies on media relations campaigns
  • Help measure engagement and effectiveness of internal/external campaigns

What Youll Bring:

  • At least three years in PR/Internal Communications
  • Strong storytelling abilities
  • Ability to develop compelling content quickly
  • Experience working alongside leadership and various internal teams
  • A drive to get better at your job every day with a competitive spirit
  • The ability to adapt to a fastpaced environment
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices and analytics tools (like Google Analytics)
  • Ability to manage projects including timelines deliverables and coordination with other team members and stakeholders
  • Digital PR and marketing trends
  • Experience with programs like PowerPoint

Amazing If You Also Have:

  • Experience with employee engagement initiatives
  • Experience in industries in banking finance fintech or payments
  • Previous startup experience (in SaaS)
