Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Softball Coach at Cameron University an NCAA Division II institution in the Lone Star Conference is a highly responsible position. The University has a winning tradition in athletics and is strongly supported by the local community. Coaching duties will be performed under the general supervision of the Head Softball Coach and the Athletic Director or other administrative superior. The Assistant Womens Softball Coach will be responsible for the development and implementation of a highquality collegiate athletic program which conforms to NCAA and University rules regulations and policies. Examples of duties include: performs onthe field coaching during practices and games responsible for recruiting student athletes administers a scholarship program for Womens Softball develops schedules for the Universitys Womens Softball Team develops a budget within allocated institutional resources and manages expenditures of funds within developed budget performs fund raising for athletic and other endeavors at the University in cooperation with other University personnel provides academic counseling services for Womens Softball student athletes supervises professional and student assistants performs other related work as required and administrative duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree high school or above coaching experience strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrates organizational and management ability.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Masters degree with college coaching experience pitching experience
