Job Description

1.This role will focus on developing new sources to meet LTI ramp up demand by driving internally with quality engineering finance & central team for smooth onboarding in GEV

2. Identify potential suppliers and conduct thorough evaluations to assess their capabilities reliability and quality standards.

3. Negotiate contracts terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favourable pricing payment terms and service level agreements

4. Implement sourcing strategies to meet the business sourcing objectives.

5. Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.

6. Collaborate closely with internal departments to understand their sourcing needs specifications and requirements.

7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers fostering partnerships based on trust reliability and mutual benefits.

8. Regularly review and analyze sourcing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Required qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering business administration or a related field is an additional advantage. Proven experience of 5 years as a Sourcing Engineer or in a similar sourcing role. Indepth knowledge of sourcing strategies supplier management and procurement processes. Proficient in using procurement software and tools. Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills. Familiarity with industryspecific regulations and standards. Strong organizational and time management skills. Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) is a plus. Experience in the power transformer industry or sector relevant to the companys operations is preferred.
