Business Overview:
The Finance team is responsible for budgeting management reporting and analysis and special projects for Fidelity Canadas various business units. The teams main focus is to support these business groups in achieving their objectives by identifying issues recommending solutions providing financial transparency and valueadded financial assessments. This is achieved by establishing strong relationships with these client groups while meeting the needs and interests of all stakeholders.
Your Opportunity:
The successful individual is an articulate and analytical financial professional who will utilize their technical and relationship building skills to provide support to our AdvisorSold Distribution business while managing the needs and interests of many stakeholders including senior management. As an integral member of the Finance team you will be responsible for working with the business unit to complete planning and analysis performance measurement and management report. You will be relied on as an resident expert and primary financial resource on all matters relating to financial support of the firms Distribution business and actively presenting your findings and analysis to the business and senior management.
What You Will Do:
- Contribute to a high performing team of financial analysts towards providing analytical support to internal clients in the distribution business.
- Provide proactive support for sales initiatives from a financial perspective including the completion of complex analysis and financial cases for all new business development opportunities.
- Develop appropriate key performance indicators / success measures for sales effectiveness initiatives and develop post implementation assessments against the relevant measures.
- Design new reports and analytics to address needs of the business and proactively anticipate future requirements including management reports.
- Partner with colleagues in the business as well as Finance colleagues across the organization on all finance related initiatives relating to the Distribution business including your assessment and analysis of financial implications and presenting your recommendations.
- Contribute to various value enhancing initiatives including analysis and presentation of the firms sales performance by developing appropriate market share metrics/drivers industry forecasting and analysis and other initiatives as needed.
- Contribute to the annual sales and business planning process while also providing overall financial stewardship expense management and support for other ad hoc projects.
What We Are Looking For:
- University degree with a business focus (Accounting Economics Commerce preferred)
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a financial analysis role within a finance department
- Financial Services industry experience preferred
- Completion of or working towards a financial/accounting designation (CPA: CA CMA CGA) and/or CFA or MBA is strongly preferred

You have advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications especially in Excel PowerPoint and VBA
You thrive in a fastpaced environment and work well with all levels of the organization
You will be working on a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelitys dynamic working arrangement.
