Job Description

Location: Washington DC DC VA MD
Position Type: Hybrid Onsite 3 days a week
Contract Length: 5 months


Position Overview:

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for solving problems through business architecture design process optimization development of business rules and cases and gathering business requirements.

Conduct handson business process and requirements analysis in support of Oracle Cloud ERP and related applications. The role also supports organizational change initiatives including communications and user acceptance testing (UAT). This analyst formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user needs and a deep understanding of business systems and industry standards.

Required Skills:
  • 12 years of experience as a Business Analyst.

  • 12 years of experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

  • 12 years of experience in requirements gathering and documentation.

  • 12 years of experience using MS Visio Word Excel and PowerPoint.

  • 12 years of experience with Oracle Financials EBS and/or Cloud Suite.

  • 12 years of experience as an Oracle Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Procure to Pay process area.

  • 8 years of experience with monthend and yearend close and reconciliation in the Procure to Pay process area.

  • 8 years of experience providing production support for Oracle EBS or Cloud applications.

  • 8 years of experience implementing Oracle ERP Cloud in the Procure to Pay process area.

  • Demonstrable expertise with the Oracle Cloud ERP suite specifically in Oracle Purchasing and Payables modules.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with public sector implementations.

Duties:
  • Analyze and document current business processes to identify areas for improvement.

  • Conduct handson business process and requirements analysis in support of Oracle Cloud ERP and related applications.

  • Plan design and implement financial systems solutions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on user needs and business goals.

  • Translate business requirements into IT requirements and functional design specifications.

  • Transfer knowledge of business requirements to development teams.

  • Identify and address changes in business processes by analyzing patterns and trends.

  • Evaluate and recommend software solutions aligned with business needs.

  • Provide application support to business users.

  • Develop functional design specifications for conversions interfaces reports and extensions (C/I/R/E).

  • Support data cleanup data conversion and reconciliation efforts.

  • Assist with monthend and yearend close and reconciliation activities.

  • Review and provide feedback on design specifications developed by other analysts.

  • Support system testing and conduct user training sessions.

  • Build and maintain trust between business and IT teams.

  • Analyze business and user needs and document system requirements.

  • Modify or create procedures to solve complex problems within system and technical constraints.

  • Prepare documentation such as white papers and solution recommendations when needed.
