Job Description

The Social Program Officer will be responsible for communication with and process and documentation creation for Safely Connected The Eating Disorder Centre independent chapters. This will include but will not be limited to strategy coordination implementation document creation use of filing and communications systems and delegation.

Tasks & Responsibilities: 

     1. Create sets of documentation and information for Safely Connected Chapters to navigate the creation of their activities and structure;

     2. Review and assess effectiveness and clarity of processes communication and documentation;

     3. Communicate and meet with chapters to assist them with diverse needs;

     4. Review and improve protocols for data collection evaluation and improvement of Safely Connected chapters;

     5. Strategize review implement and maintain program initiatives that adhere to Safely Connecteds mission; and 

     6. Work with the executive director to identify risks and opportunities of activities.

 


Qualifications :

  1. No required education or past experience;
  2. Organized and capable of following through on a project;
  3. Strong consistent communication and administrative skills;
  4.  Management and planning skills;
  5. Knowledge of the functioning of Canadian university campuses student groups and student unions is an asset;
  6. Past experience in administrative roles is an asset; and
  7. Strong communication skills both in English and French an asset;


Additional Information :

  • Pay Rate: $17.20/ hour
  • Contract dates: 8 weeks: June 2nd 2025 to July 28th 2025;
  • Hours: 35 hours a week
  • Deadline to apply: May 5th 2025

Requirements:

  • Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period;
  • Must be a Canadian citizen permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment;
  • Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
