DescriptionMechanical Engineer
This position requires an active Secretclearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.
The Mechanical Engineer will offer expertise in various engineering disciplines. Degreed engineer and engineer technician skill levels. This expertise will support infrastructure development construction projects technical assessments and recommended engineering solutions to support facilities and weapons systems to ensure production goals are satisfied.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Estimated Starting Salary Range for Mechanical Engineer: $105000 to $120000.
- Pay commensurate with experience.
- Full time benefits include Medical Dental Vision 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities Include:
- Design develop and test mechanical systems components and equipment.
- Perform engineering calculations simulations and analysis to optimize designs.
- Create and interpret technical drawings schematics and 3D models using CAD software.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure project requirements are met.
- Conduct failure analysis and recommend design improvements.
- Oversee prototype development and testing ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Work with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and components.
- Provide technical support for installation maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
- Ensure projects are completed on time within budget and meet all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices.
- Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned.
Mechanical Engineer Experience Education Skills Abilities requested:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in mechanical design development or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks AutoCAD or similar).
- Strong knowledge of materials thermodynamics fluid mechanics and structural analysis.
- Experience with mechanical testing and failure analysis.
- Understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problemsolving analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Must pass preemployment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or EIT certification.
- Experience in specific industry e.g. aerospace automotive manufacturing.
- Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
