Its the first step in what can be a lucrative and rewarding career as a highly trained and skilled automotive technician. As a VMT youll handle oil changes tire rotations and other light maintenance work. Well provide the handson training from a dedicated team of veteran technicians wholl help you grow your skills and knowledge. In fact many of our Toyota Certified Technicians began as a Vehicle Maintenance Technician.
As a VMT you can quickly be earning as much as $23 per hour (or more!. In addition youll be part of the top automotive team in town. Responsibilities:
- Perform light maintenance to include oil changes tire rotations
- Check tire pressure for proper inflation
- Clean and lubricate fittings as needed
- Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
- Complete vehicle inspection checklist
- Work closely with other Maintenance Team Technicians and Shop Foreman
- Provideexcellent customer service
Qualifications:
- Desire for a CAREER (vs. just another job)
- Interest in automotive we LOVE car enthusiasts!
- BONUS points if youve worked in an automotive tech capacity (quick lube shop auto dealership independent repair facility etc.
- Positive friendly attitude along with a customer service mentality
- Enjoy working in a fact paced team environment
- Good communication skills communicates effectively with others
- Good time management skills
- Basic computer skills
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds AND able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Applicants must pass PREEMPLOYMENT background checks drug test and have a valid driver license. NO EXCEPTIONS.
