Job Description

Opportunity for an experienced Payroll & Reporting Analyst in this role you play a key role in managing all aspects of the payroll process ensuring accurate reporting and timely payments. If you have solid knowledge and understanding of payroll systems and processes together with accounting principles want to join a high performing financial services team then this role is best suited for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the payroll process ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Review all aspects of payroll and reporting
  • Liaise with Payroll Administrator Talent and Finance teams to maintain accurate employee data ensure all payroll related processes and records are updated and reconciled monthly
  • Monthly reconciliation between payroll records and finance accounting records
  • Produce a monthly analysis of payroll movements for management accounts
  • Manage payroll records reports and documents for auditing and legal purposes Main liaison for payroll audit
  • Responsible for workmens compensation regulatory requirements
  • Ensure strong internal controls related to payroll and reporting
  • Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations assess the impact on companys payroll practices and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance
  • Produce accurate and high quality monthly quarterly and adhoc reports on various employee data
  • Manage all relevant vendor relationships Medical Aid Group risk Benefits ensure efficient service delivery
  • Assist with annual salary review preparation process and adhoc projects

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Postgraduate Accounting degree CA (SA) / CIMA preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in a related role with previous experience in Payroll and HRIS systems and employee reporting
  • Previous exposure to SAGE People Acumatica advantageous
  • Solid understanding of payroll systems and processes as well as accounting principles
  • Systems orientated keen interest in automation and digitization of Payroll and HR Reporting environment
  • High levels of integrity and discretion
  • Trustworthy reliable and hard working
  • Positive proactive team player
  • Excellent analytical skills high attention to detail
