Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide lowlatency highspeed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are looking for a talented lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Project Kuiper.
We are looking for a talented lawyer who is enthusiastic about technology enjoys being continually challenged and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Some travel domestic and international will be required.
Key job responsibilities You will be supporting Kuiper commercial channel partner contracts including sales agent and hardware reseller relationships. You will structure draft and negotiate a range of agreements and counsel the business team on issues that arise in sales agent and reseller engagements. The successful candidate will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative businesscentric ways and build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
5 years of legal experience Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and inhouse work Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
