Job Description
The University of Southern Maine is seeking a University Store Manager and Academic Liaison.
Responsibilities include developing creating implementing and monitoring store policies and procedures designed to enhance revenues ensure quality customer service and effectively utilize available resources. They create and develop operational and financial goals and objectives for the store.
The University Store Manager will also collaborate with designated academic departments to coordinate and facilitate internship and experiential learning opportunities for students. This may include but is not limited to marketing and merchandising online retail and ecommerce social media customer service supervisory and management and financial practices.
This is a fulltime position located on our Portland Campus with a starting annual salary up to $60000.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and at least five years of related experience inclusive of at least two years of retail management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of computerized inventory management systems.
- Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment and to exercise discretion and independent judgment in daily decision making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with PC software used for word processing and spreadsheet analysis.
- Retail accounting experience familiarity with inventory management procedures ecommerce and POS software.
- Merchandising and/or marketing experience in the retail industry.
