JOB OVERVIEW

Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School (Seattle) is seeking a music teacher to begin in the
202526 academic year.

This music teacher will join our dynamic team and will be responsible for the music instruction of
grades preschool grade 8. A knowledge and love of music and movement desire to be a part
of a faith community and a willingness to work collaboratively with OLL faculty are some of the
desired qualities.

Education and Experience:

Valid Washington State Teacher certificate
Practicing Catholic preferred
Experience teaching Preschool grade 8 students music

Preferred Knowledge Skills Dispositions and Abilities:

Teach a curriculum based on the NAfME standards
Plan/execute a balanced music program and organize class time so that preparation rehearsal and instruction can be accomplished within the allotted time
Provide individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the music curriculum to the needs of each student
Utilize repertoire of all types of music literature including traditional and contemporary that are appropriate for the ages and skill levels of students
Select appropriate music books and instructional aids/supplies as necessary
Collaborate with the Pastoral Assistant for Music and Liturgy to prepare for the schools liturgical celebrations
Prepare students to sing at school liturgies
Collaborate with the directors and teachers in providing musical programs for school assemblies and seasonal programs
Evaluate/report each students musical growth performance and musical understanding
Be able to fulfill other roles and responsibilities as assigned

Salary: The salary range for this position is $32000 $86000. Any offered salary is determined
based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant
experience degrees and certifications.

Hours: This position is parttime and is a 0.6 FTE position. Contact days are flexible based on
candidate and school needs.

Benefits: This position isnot benefits eligible.
