Spectrolab Inc.Spectrolab Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Companys Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) business unit has an exciting opportunity for an Associate or MidLevel Quality Test Specialist to join our dynamic team in Sylmar CA.
Spectrolab is the worlds leading merchant supplier of the highest efficiency multijunction solar cells for spacecraft power systems with proven reliability drawn from 65 years of space heritage. Position Responsibilities:
Interfaces with engineers peers group leaders for direction collaboration approval and identifying requirements to resolve design manufacturing and related process problems
Troubleshoots and resolves testrelated problems
Assists with review and validation of product nonconformances and disposition type quality procedures and engineering requirements
Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products operations and processes
Participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans
Ability to apply basic knowledge of electronics design systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of electronics components and systems
Assists with the development or improvement of inspection or test techniques
Assists in the design and creation of test coupons to validate equipment or determine product acceptance
Follows documented procedures to set up and calibrate specialized test or measurement equipment
Assists in the documentation of procedures for setting up and calibrating test equipment
Follows documented procedures to perform tests or inspections and collects data for evaluation of process equipment software solutions products or materials
Analyzes routine test inspection or statistical data to determine product and processes conformity or assists with standard corrective action recommendations
Elevates anomalous results as required
Documents and communicates standard test analysis or measurement results to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements
Works under general supervision
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience using power measurement test and measurement instrumentation
Experience with electronics troubleshooting repair and schematics
Proficient in MS Office (Excel Outlook PowerPoint)
Ability to lift 35 lbs. during a shift
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Basic understanding of electricity and/or electronics
Ambient pressure thermal test experience
Experience using Automated Test Equipment
Work Location
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10 of the time.
