Job Description
Saint Ignatius College Riverview is a Catholic boys school in the Jesuit tradition. Located on picturesque grounds in Lane Cove this leading independent school deliversa holistic education for day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic teacher of Geography to join our team. You will be a part of a vibrant educational community which aims to provide students the opportunity to utilise their talents to make a difference in the community.
The role is a parttime 0.6 FTE) temporary position until Term 3 2026.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful applicant needs to have the ability to teach the following course/s:
- Stage 4/5 Geography Mandatory
The ability to teach the following course/s is highly desirable:
- Stage 5 Geography Elective
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will:
- be an outstanding experienced classroom teacher of Geography across Stages 4/5.
- demonstrate collaborative practices and a commitment to working as part of a team
- demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional learning
- demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to the Mission and Values of the College
- be willing to contribute to the Cocurriculum Programs at the College
- hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety welfare and wellbeing of children and young people
- accredited with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to be eligible to teach in NSW.
