Position Information:
- This is an onsite position in Pontiac IL.
- Domestic relocation assistance is available.
Role Definition
Design develop implement and support new and existing diesel fuel injector products and components used in a variety of Caterpillar diesel engines and applications.
What You Will Do:
- Primary engineer leading design validation and implementation of fuel injector products into production.
- Support production manufacturing assembly and test operations supply chain and quality teams in manufacturing assembly and test of fuel injector product.
What You Will Have:
A bachelors degree in an accredited Engineering Computer Science or Materials Science curriculum or relevant work experience will be considered.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Level Extensive Experience:
- Seeks discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information; explains variances.
- Organizes and prioritizes the sequence of steps to be taken to remedy the situation.
- Identifies many possible causes for a problem based on prior experience and current research.
- Quantifies the costs benefits risks and chances for success before recommending a course of action.

- Designs working prototypes of a variety of proposed products or services.
Top Candidates May Also Have:
- Fuel system or diesel engine product design and development experience.
- Working knowledge of Caterpillar design and releasing software.
- NPI CPI or 8D problem solving experience.

Summary Pay Range:
$110520.00 $165840.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjobrelated knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
