The Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced and safetyconscious Equipment Operators for the ITA1 Project at Kearl Lake a major oil sands site in Northern Alberta. The successful candidates will work in a safetyfirst environment on a 14/14 rotation. Camp accommodations and meals provided. Charter flights provided from designated hubs in Edmonton and Calgary.
We are looking for:
- Principal Excavator Operators
- Principal Dozer Operators
- Rock Truck Operators
- Skid Steer Operators
- Sideboom Operators
- Loader Operators
Compensation & Benefits
- CLAC hourly wages depending on experience
- OT at 1.5 after 8 hours per day
- Company contributed RRSP & Pension contributions
- Benefits after 300 hours
- 10 vacation and stat pay on all regular hours worked
- Paid training
- Payday is every Friday

Responsibilities and Duties
- Safely operate heavy machinery
- Perform daily equipment checks and routine maintenance to ensure equipment is safe and operational
- Interpret and follow site plans blueprints and instructions from Supervision
- Maintain accurate equipment logs and report any issues or malfunctions properly
- Assist with general labour duties onsite when required
Qualifications
- 3 years previous experience operating equipment in an industrial construction setting
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Excellent handeye coordination
- Strong communication skills
- Valid Ground Disturbance ticket
- Familiarity with GPS and other tracking devices
- Drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures
- Must be able to pass a preemployment drug and alcohol test
- Must complete a criminal background check
