About the role
The Medical Administration Trainee is based at St Vincents Hospital and reports to the Director Medical Service / Chief Medical Information Officer. The primary purpose of the role of Medical Administration Trainee is to provide administration management and leadership of clinical and medical services under supervision whilst undertaking the training program of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA).
About you
As the successful candidate you will meet the following selection criteria:
Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincents Health Australia
Currently enrolled as a RACMA trainee or at least PGY4 with an intention to commence RACMA training
Evidence of ability to develop across the continuum from novice to master i.e. participation in term assessments and reports for new trainees or RACMA based reports for existing trainees
Ability to demonstrate high levels of enthusiasm initiative flexibility time management and negotiation skills
Ability to gather information analyse data and provide reports with appropriate recommendations.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to a range of stakeholders
Demonstrated interest in and commitment to key areas of Medical Administration responsibilities such as quality improvement patient safety risk management management and clinical governance
MBBS or equivalent currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
Demonstrated commitment to a learning culture commensurate to working alongside a high performing team.
