The Production Analyst is responsible for setting up all new wells and equipment as well as assisting in managing and reporting on complete and accurate oil gas and water volumes. This position is also responsible for various state and federal regulatory filings.
Production facility and allocation design and setup utilizing the ProCount production accounting system.
Work closely with field personnel to ensure timely and proper transmission of production data.
Analyze and reconcile daily and monthly oil gas and water volumes utilized by management and production operations.
Maintain and ensure accuracy and data integrity of ProCount production system.
Production and sales calculations and volume allocations for upstream and midstream assets.
Monthly volume reporting for accruals revenue distribution and cost allocations.
Identify and analyze volume discrepancies troubleshoot variances and imbalances.
Prepare and submit state and federal regulatory filings.
Collaborate with the marketing on processing plant shrink and yield factors and gas and crude marketing.
Collaborate with Divisions facilities production and measurement groups to understand facility and measurement design.
Participate in reporter training sessions for Lease Operators.
Assist with the integration of acquisitions and divestitures as it relates to production data
Validate and reconcile oil statements to daily/monthly oil run tickets.
Validate and reconcile terminals and offload points with sales tickets.
Perform research and compilations of production as requested.
Ensure related processes are compliant in accordance with SOX controls and guidelines.
Bachelors degree in Accounting desired. A business degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 hours of Accounting will be considered. 10 years of oil and gas revenue accounting experience required. CPA and/or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related discipline preferred
35 years upstream production analyst accounting regulatory reporting experience.
Experience with P2 ProCount Cygnet SCADA and FlowCal preferred comparable system experience will be considered.
Solid understanding of production accounting including allocation methods and reconciliation.
Selfmotivated with proven leadership skills team player comfortable working under pressure and dedicated to team development.
Knowledge of complex production allocations crude and condensate measurement and characteristics natural gas liquids and gas processing.
Strong computer skills particularly in Excel; pivot tables filters VLOOKUPs
Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
Strong leadership organizational and interpersonal skills.
Aptitude to suggest and implement process improvements to enhance effectiveness.
Ability to work independently and effectively across departments and with all levels of the organization.
Must have the ability to prioritize workload and work with minimal supervision.
Must have effective communication skills and the ability to work with field personnel office staff and regulatory agencies.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
