Job Description:
Position Overview
This position is accountable for the preparation presentation and explanation of internal and external financial reporting for management the Board of Directors and shareholders including the preparation and filing of reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It is also responsible for researching and leading in the implementation of new accounting policies and securities regulations and ensuring adherence to existing accounting policies. The position is also responsible for reporting on accounting and disclosure issues to Senior leadership on a regular basis in coordination with the Assistant Corporate Controller.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or review all external financial statements and footnotes in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Review external commentary on financial performance for consistency with actual or projected results.
- Prepare file and XBRL tag all registration statements and periodic reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
- Assist the Investor Relations department with the preparation and review of investor presentations and quarterly earnings release materials.
- Supervise and audit the work of accounting department staff to ensure compliant application of company accounting and financial procedures.
- Manage the consolidated leasing system of the company and ensure the companys financials are in compliance with ASC 842.
- Advise management on matters of fiscal procedure compliance and importance for the organization.
- Act as primary contact with the companys external auditors for all external filing and corporate related items.
- Manage the general accounting functions to ensure that financial information for management shareholders and regulatory agencies are timely accurate and complete. Ensure that all aspects of the monthly close are completed both timely and accurately. Develop train and motivate general accounting personnel and lead them to achieve departmental divisional and Company goals.
- Ensure application of sound and consistent accounting policies practices and procedures in the preparation of financial reports and statements at all levels. Analyze new pronouncements new or unusual transactions and existing policies and communicate results to all levels of management.
- Effectively interact with all levels of management so as to provide accurate and timely data and information for the decision making and control processes of the Company.
- Assist in special accounting / reporting projects at the direction of the Assistant Controller.
- Assist Group controllers and their staff in special projects as needed in understanding the accounting implications of the project or acquisition/venture.
- Prepare analyze interpret and explain accounting and financial information to assist management in understanding the results of current operations pro forma analyses and projections and the accounting implications of anticipated transactions.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 57 years relevant experience required
- Prior experience in public accounting with experience auditing an SEC registrant or work experience with an SEC registrant is preferred
- CPA is preferred
- Prior experience with Workiva and XBRL tagging preferred
