About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO and forming part of the Senior Management Team the General Manager Regional Development leads the NLCs regional operations and network teams across its seven regions.
This role will drive strategic priorities ensure legislative obligations are met under the Aboriginal Land Rights Act and oversee major programs that build local capacity and support Traditional Owners to make decisions about their Country.
Youll lead regional teams responsible for:
Land and resource management
Major government and infrastructure projects
Economic development and regionalisation
Regional office network and service delivery
Permit application and Section 19 lease assessment processes
This is a highimpact highmobility leadership position. The role involves approximately 20 weeks of travel each year across the Top End including by 4WD and light aircraft.
About You
Youre a strategic culturally grounded leader with a strong track record in regional or remote operations. You know how to lead diverse teams across multiple locations and can navigate complex stakeholder environments with integrity and respect.
You bring:
At least five years senior leadership experience across multiple sites with a proven ability to lead through change and deliver operational outcomes.
Deep cultural knowledge and lived experience with credibility and connection to Aboriginal communities.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate effectively across cultures.
A thorough understanding of land rights legislation Aboriginal Land Rights Act and Native Title Act and how it applies to Aboriginal peoples in the NT.
A collaborative leadership style that builds highperforming wellsupported teams.
