Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Manager for a prestigious luxury wine estate in Franschhoek. The successful candidate will oversee the efficient effective and profitable operation of the Food & Beverage department ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Set and monitor department targets and objectives to ensure optimal performance
Drive sales and revenue through proactive strategies and innovation
Create new service and product ideas to maintain a competitive edge
Control costs in alignment with budgetary requirements
Maintain close collaboration between Front of House and Back of House teams
Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations
Oversee planning and of largescale events
Uphold operational control procedures and policies
Maintain beverage profit margins
Define and monitor service and quality standards
Perform duty management shifts as needed
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience in a 5star hotel or property
Strong budgeting procurement and cost control knowledge
Solid customer service background
Advanced wine knowledge
Experience in menu planning and design
Background in staff training and coaching
Personal Criteria:
Exceptional leadership and people management skills
Strong upselling and coaching ability
Handson practical leadership style
Highlevel hosting and communication skills
Detailoriented with strong organizational skills
Understanding of cost controls and supplier negotiations
Financial acumen in budget and P&L management
Passionate energetic and fun approach to hospitality
Compensation & Benefits:
Monthly salary: Negotiable DOE
Performance bonus: Up to 20 of annual salary
Working hours: As per operational requirements (typically five days per week)
Medical Aid: 50 company contribution (Discovery)
Provident Fund: 7.5 company contribution (Old Mutual)
Cell phone and monthly allowance provided
Annual Leave: 15 days per year plus an additional day off for your birthday
