What is the role that we need
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily monthly quarterly and annual accounting and reporting functions
- Reconciling all cash received from investors and investments and reconciling bank accounts
- Prepare journal entries and cash reconciliations
- Maintaining all financial data in the investment database
- Prepare financial statements for funds and assist with annual audit
- Assist with tax documents and K1s
- Work with investor capital calls distributions financial reports and capital statements
- Prepare cash analysis to determine amount for capital call and distribution
- Compile and analyze investments financials and schedules
- Analyze fund agreements in order to determine impact on financial reporting and partner capital accounting requirements
- Provide assistance/support with special projects and adhoc requests.
Benefits
Essential (MUST HAVE)
- 2 years of experience in audit or private equity accounting
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Financial Management CPA and/or Master s degree are strong pluses
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Should possess a strong work ethic demonstrate high analytical ability and high level of attention to detail
- Organization skills with ability to prioritize timesensitive assignments
- Selfstarter that will thrive in an entrepreneurial and small team environment
Desired (Plus but not a requirement)
- Understanding of financial statements and capital structures preferred
1 to 3 years of experience You have an operational mindset and are constantly looking for ways to streamline processes You have strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills You re interested in providing best-in-class-service You take pride in your ability to communicate effectively and are able to multitask to meet multiple deadlines You have a basic understanding of Venture Capital, Banking, and Fund Administration You have experience working with accounting and financial data You re interested in working on projects in a fast paced environment
