Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team. In this critical role you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and providing critical support in monthend processes while ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities excellent problemsolving skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain General Ledger Accounts: Ensure the proper maintenance and accuracy of all general ledger accounts including posting journal entries and reconciling discrepancies
  • MonthEnd and YearEnd Close: actively participate in the monthend and yearend closing processes including preparing and maintaining various financial reports accruals calculations and review  ensuring all entries are recorded correctly and in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to verify and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
  • Payroll journals booking corrections and reconciliations including involvement in resolving issues for various entities and cooperation with the payroll team as well as the external payroll providers
  • Accounting entries: Preparation and recording of accounting adjustments including addressing oneoff accounting issues and making datadriven amendments as needed
  • Audit: Support external audits by providing requested information and addressing any audit queries
  • Financial statements: Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements including collaboration with external advisors and preparation of supporting schedules
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and accounting procedures
  • CrossDepartment Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams such as Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable and Financial Planning & Analysis to provide financial insights and support organizational initiatives

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in an accounting/finance role with General Ledger experience a plus
  • Strong accounting expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of accruals payroll fixed assets accounting and monthend close processes
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Netsuite is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across various finance departments
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
