Job Description
Devoteam Portugal is looking for a Software Engineer with a specialization in DevSecOps to join our nearshore team for an exciting project in the financial sector. This opportunity is ideal for someone coming from a software development background who has transitioned into infrastructure and security not the other way around. Youll play a key role in implementing PolicyasCode solutions leveraging strong skills in Python OOP Terraform and AWS scripting with Boto3.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure automation using Terraform (modular architecture promotion strategies).
- Develop security policies as code and integrate them into cloud infrastructure.
- Write and maintain Python code with a focus on OOP using frameworks and custom packages.
- Work with AWS (scripting via Boto3 to manage and secure cloud resources.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
- Collaborate with development and security teams to improve DevSecOps best practices.
- Ensure compliance and security standards across multicloud environments (AWS & Azure).
Qualifications :
- 4 years of experience in Software Engineering or DevSecOps roles
- Strong experience with Python including OOP and package development
- Proven expertise in Terraform for infrastructure automation
- Solid knowledge of AWS and scripting with Boto3
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD
- Deep understanding of cloud security principles and PolicyasCode
- Ability to write clean scalable and reusable code for infrastructure
Nice to Have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Python for automation
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Exposure to Azure (the project includes Azure components)
