Description

About the role

The Housing Team Leader will lead a small team across the Brisbane and Logan region to deliver supported accommodation and improve the wellbeing of residents. Specifically the Housing Team collectively support individuals and families in a partnership to empower and build their agency to make effective change and overcome their identified housing and wellbeing needs.

Duties

  • Lead and meet program performance as per monthly and quarterly dashboard system.
  • Lead the implementation to staff supports that maintain adherence to the program Model of Care Human Service Practice Framework and enhancing staff role clarity.
  • Lead the implementation of management operational processes and nonnegotiable tasks.
  • Lead the development of a responsive client customer service culture in the team.
  • Lead the quality of case managed supports to individuals and families through a team of supported youth staff.
  • Cultivating productive working relationships at all levels.

  • Starting annual salary of $97000 (depending on qualifications and experience).

Skills And Experiences

COVID19 Requirement

  • Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid 19 vaccine is encouraged.

  • Bachelor qualification is Social Work/Human Services/Psychology/Sociology/Criminology/Counselling or relevant field.

and/or

five 5 years experience in relevant human service field e.g. Child Protection Family Support Youth Support Youth Justice Disability Housing Domestic Violence.

Plus

  • Minimum three 3 years experience in a practitioner or frontline position in similar field.
  • Ability to work in a performance driven environment and meet monthtomonth program targets.
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing and coordinating case management processes and procedures.
  • Ability to lead guide and manage people including the implementation of cultural change and change management opportunities.
  • Experience with case management for high risk or crisis clients.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the factors contributing to young people disconnecting from family and community or disengaging from education training and/or employment.
  • Knowledge of the support available to young people in the areas of substance misuse mental health education employment and housing.
  • Flexibility in service provision that include on call after hours to support high risk management for youth justice and child safety as well as creating innovative practices.
  • Ability to provide complex case management and to support staff in providing risk management to families and individuals.
  • Ability to support and manage a continuous improvement model to further improve the service model and practice application of frontline staff.
  • Decisive listening influencing and persuasive skills.
  • Ability to utilise participative management practices and adopt a supportive stimulating management style to achieve real and tangible quality outcomes for clients.
  • A willingness to travel across the ATSICHS Brisbane and Logan region of services and work across different sites.
  • Working with Childrens Card (Blue Card) or willing to apply.
  • Current drivers license.
  • Valid police check.

Preferred

  • Experience with PowerBI or similar dashboard target system.
