Job Description
We are hiring a Senior Python Engineer who brings deep expertise in data engineering and building productionready APIs along with a strong ability to work autonomously and drive technical excellence. You ll lead the development of scalable backend systems and data infrastructure that power AIdriven applications across our platform.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in highperformance teams and embraces modern development practices especially AIassisted coding for speed and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain highperformance APIs and microservices using Python (FastAPI Flask etc.
- Build and optimize scalable data pipelines ETL/ELT processes and orchestration frameworks
- Use AI development tools like GitHub Copilot Cursor or CodeWhisperer to accelerate engineering velocity and code quality (this is a musthave
- Architect resilient and modular backend systems integrated with PostgreSQL MongoDB and Elasticsearch
- Manage workflows and eventdriven architectures using tools such as Airflow Dagster or
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver productiongrade systems in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Ensure high test coverage observability and reliability across services
MustHave Qualifications
- 5 years of handson experience in Python backend/API development
- Strong background in data engineering and workflow orchestration tools
- Proficiency with AIenhanced development environments like Copilot Cursor or equivalent tools
- Solid experience with Elasticsearch PostgreSQL and scalable data solutions
- Familiarity with Docker CI/CD and cloudnative deployment practices
- Ability to take ownership of features from idea to production
Nice to Haves
- Experience with or other distributed workflow engines (very important)
- Background in AI/ML systems including PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Familiarity with LangChain LLMs and vector search tools (e.g. FAISS Pinecone)
- Exposure to weak supervision semantic search or agentic AI workflows
